LIBERATION
When it burns so bad all you can feel is the fire,
Blood, like drops of liquid heat running through your veins daring to make you perspire every part of your memory out of pores
Every part that you wish you could wash away, leave behind and ignore.
But somehow in the darkest part of the night
Back to the very essence of your soul
It seems to always find a way to break you down, Hold you hostage from your sleep
Whispering the echoes of your fears and woes, as if your thoughts were theirs to keep in chains, within borders, a container, a space much too small
Brain being fed delusions and washed up in the concrete jungle is not any kind of freedom at all.
Never a moments rest for the devilish functions to arise,
Always on the prowl and hungry to slay the weak, there to test your faith- but not for the faint of heart!
They spare no one, not even those who seek,
The truth to cast off the transient and reveal the true,
It is not a game to play nonchalantly like you don’t understand, you must fight til the end , don’t you know you must follow through?
To the end is what matters, not the trivial disappointment of the moment at hand
Battling good and evil is the task of a warrior, for that you must take a stand
A vow to see past all the deception and lies,
That your own mind has created and decided to recognize as reality and truth,
But the truth is, you’ve forgotten that when you look in the mirror, in the reflection you’ll see, turning poison into medicine will always set you free.
